Our Launch Party - Final Details!

First off, thanks to the over 250 people who have RSVP'd yes to help celebrate our new website launch and are coming to network with us! Wendy and I could not have imagined such a huge response in such a short period of time.  Here are some final details for the event:

Guest List - Please check-in with one of our event volunteers, holding a clipboard outside of the venue.  If you have not already, please RSVP with your names and guests to to get on our exclusive VIP list.

Time & Location - SpiceSafar Lounge, 510 King Street West.  Our event runs from 6-10 PM, please feel free to drop in and out at any time.  SpiceSafar will have a cash bar, couture tapas, gourmet pastries, molecular cocktails, lattes, tea and coffee for sale.

Door Prizes - We have a couple great prizes to giveaway.  Please make sure you drop off one of your business cards at the door prize desk by the entrance.  Don't have a card?  We will have ballots for you instead.  The draw will happen at around 9 PM and you must be in attendance to pick-up your prize that night.  Good luck!

Burlesque Dancers! - We will have a short promotional performance from our friends in Fever 2 at around 7 PM.  Check out this exclusive sneak peek at our party.

Fashion Advice & Styling Tips - The always stylish Lisa McLatchie of The Practical Fashionista will be hand at her booth to dispense her expert fashion advice and styling tips.  Have a questions of what goes with what?  Want to know what's hot for summer?  Don't be shy!  Ask Lisa at the event.

Networking - We ask that everyone come with a positive, approachable attitude and not be afraid to introduce yourself!  If we all have the same mindset, it will make for a fantastic networking night out for everyone.  Bring lots of postcards/business cards to hand-out in case you make a connection.  Not sure how to network?  Read our article here on 'How-To Network'.

So Who Exactly is Coming? - The Hip & Urban Girl's Guide is open to everyone including urban professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners.  Our age demographic is 25-40 and our RSVP list includes PR professionals, top Toronto bloggers, graphic designers, web designers, marketing/ad agencies, sales reps, photographers, cake designers, DJs, event planners, digital media agencies, travel agents, yoga instructors, students, tech-sector, make-up artists, brand managers, non-profits, music labels, freelancers, journalists, TV hosts, a doula and anything under the sun you could possibly imagine.  

Cost - Free!  We only ask that you tell your network about our blog so we can expand our events in the future.  Follow us on twitter @hipurbangirl and our event hashtag is #hugTO.  The Hip & Urban Girl's Guide plans on hosting one unique networking event every month.  Depending on the success of this night, we may run another HugTO: Co-Ed Edition again!
