Le Scandinave Spa in Collingwood, ON is the perfect spa oasis getaway for you and your girlfriends. Nestled in the woods, this year-round Nordic bath experience offers a circuit of hot baths, salt water cold plunges, lush waterfalls, a eucalyptus steam bath and wood-burning Finnish sauna. We love how you can hang out all day outdoors and catch some sun in one of their hammocks or Muskoka chairs. The spa even offers Swedish and Hot Stone Massage therapy treatments performed by an RMT to add to your visit.
This outdoor spa is vast with pools spread out on different levels on the well-manicured and landscaped grounds. The water circuit should be repeated three to four times to maximize the full effect of your hydrotherapy. We like the relaxation areas which include an outdoor fireplace, solarium, terrace and lots of magazines for reading. The common areas and pools are spacious with lots of curved nooks, so its never too awkward soaking in a hot tub with a bunch of strangers. The spa is co-ed so everyone is in a bathing suit. We do recommend bringing your own flip-flops and towels are provided.
Plan at least two to four hours for your visit, especially if you are booking a treatment. A 60-minute Swedish Massage ($117) includes access to all the Scandinavian Baths. Access to the spa alone ($45 or $35 Wed.) is also available. Le Scandinave is open daily from 10 AM - 9 PM rain or shine. If you are planning a full-day at the spa, check out the on-site Bistro for a light lunch. The menu is full of healthy salads, sandwiches and fresh juice in a casual dining space.
We highly recommend Le Scandinave Spa for an easy spa getaway outside of the city. We felt completely refreshed, like we were on some sort of luxurious vacation but it only cost us $45 for a day pass. Lots of overnight accommodations & spa packages are available in the Village of Blue Mountain or in Collingwood if you wanted to make a weekend out of it. For more information:
