Rethink Romp @ Steam Whistle Brewery

The Rethink Romp was hosted this past Thursday, June 10 at the Steam Whistle Brewery. This year's cleavage (I mean "clever") tag line for promoting the event was "with a great rack comes great responsibility" so it was all about spandex, masks, flying capes and boobs -- yes, that's right, superheros united for this special evening to battle against breast cancer!
For the $65 admission ticket you got two drinks at the bar, a chance to schmooze with the city's finest young professionals, chow down on delicious hor's d'ouerves, sample bevies from Yellow Tail Wine, Seagram Coolers and Naked Fruit Smoothies plus take home a gift bag loaded with products from the sponsors.
Even superheros have bad hair days and I'm pretty sure Catwoman has broken a nail or two but no worries, beauty stations were conveniently setup around the venue -- so go get your hair did at the Coupe Bizarre booth or your nails done with Joe Fresh's new nail polish line. And I hope you remembered to pickup Schick's newest Quattro Trim Style razor. Now for the guests of honour, the superheroes themselves -- they flew in by the handful donning colourful masks, sexy spandex and very creative homemade weapons. There were so many great costumes! So while it was a lot of fun taking in all the festivities and rubbing elbows with Superman and Wonder Woman, my real mission as a Rethink Volunteer was to sell these cute pink tees. The battle against breast cancer continues but for one night I think it is safe to say that the superheroes did a great job showing their support and donating to preserve one boobie at a time.

Rethink is a charity helping young people who are concerned about and affected by breast cancer through innovative education, research and support programs. To find out more about this organization and their future events, click on logo below.
