Hip Getaways - Extreme Mini Golf, Lake Placid

The Hip & Urban Girl's Guide cannot resist a bling'd out mini-golf course.  Once we saw the Kool-Aid blue smurf water, our mouths dropped at the sight of this extreme pirate-themed course.  Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf is the next stop on our 'Things to Do' in our Lake Placid Travel Series this week!

Admission is $8.50 for Adults and $7.50 for Children.  At the top of the course you'll see a gorgeous panoramic view of the mountains around Lake Placid.  I think it's one of the top mini-golf courses I have every played.  The second best being The Summerland Sand Course at Disneyworld, Orlando.  Measured in fun and awesome-ness of course, let's not get too technical here.  The holes themselves are pretty straightforward with a little bit of difficulty here and there.  I am a pretty brutal mini-golfer, but how can you not have fun here?
The 18-hole course is an easy way to pass a summer afternoon while navigating waterfalls, pirates and  sunken ships.  All the plants are up kept by a local landscaping company and everything is pristine.
Lucky for you, they have locations all over the United States too!  Some of them are even award-winning.  It was a great way to enjoy summer in Lake Placid.
