Grand Opening: Maple Leaf Square, Toronto

Hey Darryl Sittler!
The hip + urban girls of Toronto are going to have a hot new place to grab a drink in the city.  Maple Leaf Square officially opened yesterday with lots of fanfare at 15 York St. - directly in front of the Air Canada Centre.  The new retail, entertainment and condo complex features a huge Longo's in the basement that even validates parking!  We are putting all the foodies on high-alert to make a visit.  The salad bar alone is worth the trip.

The rumours are true - Wendel Clark is the nicest guy ever.
We are in love with The Real Sports Bar & Grill - the perfect place to grab a pre-game or pre-concert drink with friends.  The restaurant is filled with TV screens and the perfect place to watch the Raptors and Leafs *win* this season.  For those who love big TVs, it also has the largest indoor HD screen in North America.  Maple Leaf Square will also host the second Toronto location of Hotel Le Germain with a decadent lobby bar to match.  We absolutely can't wait until it opens!

Maple Leaf Square hosted a huge opening party last night with appearances from good old Wendel Clark and Darryl Sittler.  Guests feasted on miniature bar food favourites from The Real Sports Bar & Grill, e11even, and Longo's.  Food and drink stations were set-up for throughout the main atrium, along with door prizes, giveaways and team mascots.  Here are some of our pictures from the big celebration:

Hey Natalie from CTV!  Thanks for interviewing me.
The Voice of the Maple Leafs: Joe Bowen, hosted the event
The Leafs Home Opener is tonight.  We will be cheering on our boys in blue.  Maple Leaf Square is now open.  Make sure you stop by for a visit and check out this new addition to our fair city of Toronto.
