Style Your Crib: Fresh Flowers

We are currently styling the hip + urban girl's crib with fresh flowers as we get ready to sell our house.  Here's what we came up with using a mix of what's in-season and bold colours to add some drama to our humble abode.  If you are looking for a great selection of cheap, fresh flowers - we highly recommend the flower markets at Avenue Rd. and Davenport Rd. in Toronto.  The prices are very competitive and you can choose a pre-made bouquet like the one on the right, or design your own.

We scored this sweet mix (above) for only $14, which added a little sunshine to the sort-of gloomy Fall weather.  Pick out a few of your favourite blooms and the staff can arrange it for you.  So all you have to do when you get home, is fill a vase with warm water, snip the bottoms and voila!  Fresh flowers for a week.  Want something a little long-term?  Each shop also offers a selection of house plants and orchids.

A mix of oranges and peaches in a shiny silver mint julep cup
Green and purples with lots of texture and personality in a round, low bowl vase
Full two-toned orange roses in a clear glass pitcher gives our entryway some style.  All these roses?  $12!   A steal for us.
