hug Style: Evoke Salon Tweet-up, Toronto

Toronto's Tweeters got together last month for a hair make-over courtesy of Joallore, Mr. @ClickFlicka on twitter and Evoke Salon at Yonge & Eglinton.  The Hip + Urban Girl @HipUrbanGirl was joined by @StilettoTwins, @GingerGeri, @MariaAguilar, @Fashionights and @Dan_L.  Here is how raggedy we all looked before our transformation from Evoke Salon.  Now follow the jump to see our 'After'...

All of us tweeps cleaned up really nice for the 'after' shot.  Everyone is looking sharp after our scalp massage, wash, cut and style.  Evoke Salon in Toronto has seven super cool employees that you automatically want to become BFFs with.  The Yonge & Eglinton location has been opened for just over one year and we were all invited to tweet and blog about our experience.  Owners, Ergys Tafilica, Jon Dimauro and Jason Speziale have a second location in Bloor West Village which has been booming for over eight years with 17 employees.  Jason has been cutting hair since he was a teenager and embodies such a cool, down-to-earth vibe about him.

The tweeters get their do-over.
What else do we love about Evoke?  If it's raining, they give away complimentary umbrellas so you don't wreck your new 'do.  Talk about customer service and thoughtfulness!  Evoke stylists have had their work featured on CityTV, Muchmusic and Flare Magazine.  They also are involved with a charity called Windfall, where the whole team did hair for four hours for 280 Brides in one location.  Evoke accomplished creating a new world record, while raising money for a good cause.  We are seriously digging their karma and good vibes.

@GingerGeri, who was celebrating losing her 81st pound that day with a new look!  The always fun Maria Aguilar poses for us with her long locks...

Fantastic people, no pretension - the staff have great camaraderie together.  So here's your hip + urban girl discount: mention the word 'hairgasm' and my name, 'Lisa Ng' and you'll get $20 off any cut for the month of November.  Perfect for getting all gussied up for a holiday event.  Cuts start from $30 for guys and $50 for girls.
