Hot Thai Stem Massage @ Langdon Hall, Cambridge

Looking for a completely different type of spa treatment this winter?  Sign yourself up for an aromatic Hot Thai Stem Massage at Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario.  This alternative therapy involves a cheesecloth-like bag full of Thai stems and herbs that are heated up in a rice cooker and then pressed against the body. It does not hurt.  The stems are not pointy - think of it as potpourri bag with a flat bottom that is gently massaged onto your skin.  When heated, the oils from the herbs/stems are released to promote detoxification and decrease inflammation.  The massages lasts 85 minutes ($165) and you are given two compresses of stems to take home and reuse in the bath.
Massage services are performed by an RMT and redeemable for insurance purposes.  You'll leave feeling rejuvenated from this winter pick-me-up. Make sure you set aside some time to enjoy the sauna, whirlpool, steam room and tea lounge.  The Spa at Langdon Hall is a charming and zen space on a Relais and Chateaux property.  The calm country setting makes for a relaxing day trip or weekend getaway out of the city.  A  full spa menu including manicures, pedicures, facials and body treatments are also available.
