Super-Super Bowl Recipes!

Stand-by hip + urban girls.  It's Super Bowl weekend, which means plunking yourself down in front of the TV for four full hours of eating.  It's like the guy-version of the Oscars.  But hey!  At least The Black Eyed Peas are playing the halftime show and we've picked out some great Super Bowl recipes for you to try out.  If you're going to be eating for four hours, it might as well be something you like:
We found the *best* Low-Fat Turkey Chili recipe that is healthy and still tastes amazing.  Which means you can eat more chicken wings.  We cook this version all the time and it's great for serving over nacho chips or paired with warm cornbread.  Add a little bit of chicken broth and throw it in the slow cooker on low to keep warm.  You can even set-up a Chili Bar with all sorts of toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream and vegetables.
The Guacamole that we can't stop eating has cilantro and roasted garlic in it for a full flavour assault of goodness.  Make sure you buy high-quality tortilla chips for all your hard work to shine through.  Is it wrong that I could just eat this with a spoon?  Don't forget to give it a good squeeze of lime juice and not to make it too early - or the whole thing will go brown.  Tastes best when chilled a bit and adjust the seasonings to your liking.  Pair with a fresh store-bought salsa from the refrigerated section and just claim that you made that too.
The fastest Chicken Quesadillas that you will ever make uses store-bought rotisserie chicken and baby spinach.  Means you'll fit in an intake of greens somewhere between sips of beer.  This Real Simple recipe is easy enough for anyone to make and grills up fast.
Try out the delicious Creamy Crab & Red Pepper Spread we made over the holidays.  It's delish to serve over crackers and even goes great with veggies.  People will think you slaved for hours to make it, when really you just mixed a bunch of things together.
Kick-off is at 6:30 PM Sunday night on FOX.  It's the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers.  The whole darn thing is going down in Texas and don't forget about all the great Super Bowl commercials!  Have a great weekend :)  -- Lisa & Wendy
