Coccolily S/S 2011 Collection Preview

What does football have to do with fashion? Nothing, unless you're Montreal -based designer, Naana Tennachie Yankey of Coccolily. Her spring / summer 2011 collection is a tribute to her native, Ghana and their national football team, The Black Stars. The aptly named, Black Star collection is heavily inspired by the 60s with mod baby doll silhouettes and geometric shapes, but the saturated colours of fuchsia, tangerine, emerald, and cobalt are definitely a homage to the bright colours Naana brings from her homeland. Despite the demure shapes, Coccolily dresses are not fit for 'shrinking violets'. Sexy cut-outs and revealing backs are the hallmark of this collection, perfect for hip urban girls who want all eyes on them when the weather heats up.

We were invited to take a peek at Coccolily's new s/s 2011 collection available exclusively in Toronto at Shop Girls Gallery Boutique and just had to share:

The Coccolily collection retails from $175 to $250 in-store or online at Shop Girls Gallery Boutique. With warmer temperatures on the way, we recommend you scoop up your favourite styles fast. We can't see pieces this hot staying on the racks for very long.

Thank you to Tamika Auwai, the Founder of Shop Socials for guest blogging on behalf of HUG.
