The interweb has been swirling with rumours and it is now confirmed that New York City's Momofuku is coming to Toronto. Chef, David Chang will open two of his restaurants in the Shangri-La Hotel in 2012. One will be a noodle bar and the other will be called Momofuku Daisho. We love their delicious ramen and pork belly buns. Saves us a Porter flight now from getting them.
The one thing I am highly anticipating the most, will be the Fried Chicken Dinner. $100 gets you two full chickens, one fried Korean-style and the other Southern-fried with sides. The dinner serves 4-8 people and people go crazy booking one month in advance to the day. It's like the Ticketmaster system for chicken. No walk-ins, very limited availability.
