I'm either drinking red, white or rose is kinda how I see it. So I was pretty stoked to attend 'Bordeaux After Work' at Origin Restaurant in Toronto last week to learn more about wine.
Angela Aiello and her associate, Tallyia of the iYellow Wine Club were our gracious hosts, along with The Bordeaux Wine Council. These two down-to-earth girls take all the uppity-ness out of wine and make it all the less intimidating for cocktail-drinking girls like me. The Rose de Chevalier was crisp, cool and absolutely refreshing for a hot summer patio. It was definitely a favourite.
Over 100 guests and iYellow Wine Club members were treated to a glass of wine and offered the very affordable price of $8 glass thereafter. A cheese station, passed appetizers and a cool DJ added to the casual atmosphere. If you had any questions, any of the friendly team members or bar staff were able to help you. Five wines from each region of Bordeaux were featured and guests mingled while discovering new wines and fun friends. The event is the first of four Bordeaux After Work events to be held once a month until August.
Drinking wine means an excuse to eat more cheese
