MAD HOT Wonderland

We're all mad here so come down the rabbit hole with us as we take you inside the annual MAD HOT Gala. Hosted by the National Ballet of Canada, this annual event took place Wednesday night at the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts. This year's theme was inspired by the premiere of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Christopher Wheeldon.

The festivities began with a beautiful performance by the National Ballet's talented dancers followed by one mad tea party. Johnny Depp must have been super late because he was nowhere to be found but I did manage to catchup with the White Rabbit who showed me to the best seat in the house!

And what would Wonderland be without all the Mad Hatters...

Not one but two, three, four Alices spotted playing croquet AND a life-size chess game! Hmmmm I wonder what was in that tea...

Hello Mr. Caterpillar, I'm afraid I can't explain myself, you see, because I'm not myself, you know...

Well it certainly was a strange yet magical night as more rabbits lent me a helping hand to crawl out of that hole.

The Alice's Adventures in Wonderland ballet is now sold out but you can still catch some cool videos, reviews and other info by visiting The National Ballet of Canada website.
