Growing up I dedicated one of the walls in my bedroom to be my "Wishing Wall"... of all the things I wanted to do and the places I wanted to see. I had a map that I would throw darts at and wherever it landed, I would pretend to plan a vacation there. It was good times for me but not so much for my mom who didn't like the little pin holes that were left and the traces of sticky tape all over the walls! I can only imagine what I could have done if I had a whole Room for Thought!
We've all got big ideas so what are yours?
The Hip and Urban Girl's Guide and our friends at American Express Canada invite you to pull out that box of inspirational clippings or to locate the little key that opens up your childhood diary because it's time to unleash those dreams and big ideas!
One lucky winner in each of the categories of Community, Travel and Adventure and Music will be chosen by the public to work with Television Personality, Les Stroud of Survivorman, Marc and Craig Kielburger of Free the Children and Emily Haines of Metric, to see their idea brought to life in November at the Room for Thought, located in Toronto's Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.
So what's in it for you?
Yes, you get to work closely with the mentors themselves! You'll get access to their business and personal networks and together, you will devise a plan and realize a vision based around your original idea.
Be on film!
Everything will be documented in a series of films available to the public and all aspects of the project will be captured on the American Express Canada Facebook page so your friends and family can follow your journey.
Demonstrate the power of Canadian potential!
You will go down in history and be part of something big that inspires, moves and astounds! Your idea will come to life in a visual showcase and be shared with the public in downtown Toronto. Now can you say bragging rights?!
