Swing and Shine with Swarovski

The first major snowfall has yet to drop, but we’re already thinking about bright and shiny spring. Blame it on Swarovski’s Spring/Summer 2012 Swing, Sing and Shine collection that was on display at Toronto’s Gardiner Museum earlier this fall.

The room was full of gleaming crystal baubles, cotton candy pink dresses and swingin’ 60s tunes that quickly made us forget we’d be putting our coats and scarves back on when the night was through. The collection pays tribute to the styling and cinema of the 1960s, featuring Canadian modelling sensation Jessica Stam as the campaign headliner.

Statement necklaces, cocktail rings, bangles and drop earrings were gleaming with pastel coloured crystals and fun bubble-gum femininity. Our favourite was the show stopping three-dimensional pieces from the Raphaela collection made of mini pink and orange crystals that will no doubt be conversation pieces.

We also were smitten by the charming Rosemarie collection of ladybug pieces that we’d love to have as our good luck charms, and the futuristic Rocket collection decked out in geometric shaped crystals

Swarovski was sure not to forget to give the guys something to look forward to this spring with their crystal-embellished men’s leather wallets, business card holders and iPhone cases, as well as rings, bracelets, cufflinks and skull pendants that we’re sure the girls will be picking up for themselves too.
