Toronto's Best Bridesmaid Dress Boutiques

Yes, it is all about the bride but pretty maids in a row also deserve to look the part too. In this case "pretty" means chic and preferably wearable beyond their bestie's big day. Lucky for hip urban girls,  Toronto is filled with fantastic bridesmaid boutiques. If your bridal party's on the hunt, check out these great shops:

Henkaa is a safe bet for dresses that are sure to be worn again. Their convertible frocks can be styled in dozens of different ways to suit everyone's taste and they look flattering on many body types. They're also available in long and short versions in over 25 different colours to work with almost any wedding palette. Ordering online is super easy with "one size fits all" sizing or call 647-708-6522 to book at appointment at their new North York boutique located at 5 Northtown Way where you'll get hands on instruction on how to style.

If the bridal party is concerned about getting the perfect fit, visit Champagne & Cupcakes at 1114 Queen Street West to commission a custom tailored creation. Choose (or mix and match) amongst 33 silhouettes in the catalogue and end up with a gorgeous dress that fits each gal like a glove. Select pieces can also be purchased off the rack during regular store hours of Tuesday to Sunday, 11 - 6. Call 416-553-CAKE for appointments

Though our Yorkdale flagship sadly came without the bridal boutique that select US locations offer, J.Crew carries an impressive selection of contemporary bridesmaids dresses that can be ordered through their online store. Their new flat rate shipping makes this an even better proposition, particularly for bridal parties who live across Canada.

In Bloor West Village Jealous Bridesmaids has a great selection of well-known bridal labels including The Dessy Group and Bill Levkoff. Book an hour long appointment at the boutique by calling 416-915-1654, or complete their online form to secure a dress trial for your group.
Head to Two Birds Bridesmaids located at 927 Queen Street West for a more fancy take on the convertible dress. In addition to basic styles, they have options to accent the skirt with hand sewn rossettes for a romantic touch. Matching ties can be ordered for groomsmen to ensure full on colour coordination. Order online or book an appointment to visit the studio by calling 647-352-2473.

West of the city in Mississauga or in the east in Scarborough, David's Bridal is Canada's new go-to store for ridiculously affordable bridesmaid dresses and bridal gowns too for that matter. Their crowing jewel is the slightly fashion forward White by Vera Wang bridal collection exclusive to their stores. It's a must-see for any bride seeking to create a designer day on a department store budget. Book an appointment online or call 1-877-851-2743.

Good luck! Here's hoping they scream "YES!" to the dresses.

  1. This makes me want to get married again! Another fave of mine was Leanne Belter in Riverside. I wound up buying my dress for our destination wedding (in Curacao) at Becker's Bridal on The Danforth (at a small fraction of what I had budgeted).

  2. I forgot to mention that my wedding dress from Becker's was actually a Bridesmaid dress ordered in cream.

    1. I also went to Becker Bridal, they have a range of price points that are really affordable. Even though I am married I always love what is in the window of Sash & Bustle on Carlaw. Both in the East end!! Leanne Belter is going to be moving their location from Queen E to Dundas & Broadview (rennos going on now)
