Hip Hotel - ARC The.Hotel, Ottawa

Next time you find yourself in Ottawa looking for a chic independent boutique hotel, check-in to ARC.The Hotel. The service is friendly, personal and the clientele is a mix of couples and business people due to its close proximity to Ottawa's financial district. It's a bit more intimate then your typical big box hotel chain, with only 112 guestrooms.
We stopped in for a two night stay during our recent visit to Winterlude and enjoyed how close it was to everything. Rideau Centre and the Byward Market District are less than a 15-minute walk away. It makes a huge difference and saves you a ton in cab fare.

Coming home to turndown service after a long day of skating was absolutely perfect. Jazz music was playing from the CD player and housekeeping left me an apple, chocolate, bottled water and got my warm and cozy bed all ready. It was easy to slip right into one of their bathrobes and relax into the evening. The mini-fridge in my room was empty, so I could fill it with whatever I wanted. The room is also equipped with a safe and a huge closet.
Modern renovated bathroom with marble countertops, subway tiles & a tub/shower combo
The restaurant and lounge are also a hot hangout for Ottawa locals
A lovely surprise and welcome gift in my room! Champagne upon check-in at the front desk was also a nice touch. We can't wait to visit you in Ottawa again.

  1. I typically enjoy staying at boutique hotels when I travel. Every year when I go to Ottawa for work, I have to stay at the Chateau Laurier. I'd love to stay at ARC one day.

  2. A few years ago, as a young PR girl, I stayed here. I thought then that the name sounded pretentious (Arc The. Hotel? What?) but I recall my stay was comfortable and felt chic. Nice to know that the hotel hasn't lost its charm. Although I still think the name could use a makeover (aka: GET RID OF THAT STUPID PERIOD.) Thanks for the review!
