Admittedly not a sneaker girl, Converse will have me singing a different tune when spring hits. Along with presenting their classic Chuck Taylor kicks in trendy brights like coral, aqua, violet and yellow, their spring and summer 2012 preview also introduced several new silhouettes that will take hip urban girls everywhere through summer walks on the beach, picnics in the park and many a backyard barbecue.
New styles include the Chuck Taylor Dainty, a more feminine version of the original, the Chuck Taylor Dancer, a ballerina flat style sneaker, the ChuckIt Lady, a lace free, slip on shoe, and ...
... my fave, the Chuck Taylor All Star Playlite, which has a canvas or mesh upper...and it comes in a foldable ballet flat. I need these in every colour.
Converse has also designed some great beach ready sandals like the Chuck Taylor Cutaway, available in polka dot and denim along with traditional colours and a few brights.
Outside of all the fun spring colours, the men's collection had some pretty amazing leather and a collaboration with John Varvatos. So stylish I had to share. Now that I've seen how on trend Converse can be, I'll be patently waiting on the Charlotte Olympia collabo for the ladies.
Also on the must share list was my custom manicure from WowWow Nails. Thanks Converse!
Check major footwear retailers for the new Converse collection starting this month. Prices range from $25 - $65, so stock up. I predict some of the newbies will be hard to find once word of stylish sneakers hits.
