Old Navy will be launching their Studio Spotlight line in select stores starting April 7th with a new capsule collection every other month from their in-house design team. To celebrate, we swung by their preview party to have a vintage-style custom tee made and to have a peek at their new collection for Spring 2012.
Loving my new shirt
Had our brand-spanking new logo on a USB key with me for the event
Cute boy above enlarged and printed my logo onto an iron-on transfer sheet, while I reminisced about my love for neon puffy fabric paint.
Ta Da! My new customized vintage-style tee
A few looks from The Spring 2012 Collection
One of my favourites - though I'm not sure if I can pull off these stripes
The first in the Studio Spotlight series is from San Francisco-based Old Navy designer, Kim Brennecke. Her nine piece ‘Victorian chic’ capsule collection will range from $16.94-$39.94. We are loving all the flow in all the tops and dresses. I'm already picturing myself sitting on a cool patio with sunglasses on. The dresses look quite comfortable and useful for traveling or on long car rides to the beach.
It's actually quite nice to see Old Navy mix things up a bit and offer something more fresh than the usual basics that we are used to. I like the affordability of these pieces and the modern vintage style. It will be interesting to see how it actually fits in-store and what else comes out of these capsule collections, especially for peeps like me who are looking for something more budget-conscious.
