Toronto Fashion Week - Pavoni Fall/Winter 2012

A sponsored hip + urban girl post.
Our friends at Nokia Canada invited us and two lucky hug readers to sit front row at the Pavoni runway show on Monday night. We had a blast tweeting and taking all these photos off our Nokia Lumia 800 and wanted to share a few of our favourite looks from the show. We were awestruck by the dramatic gowns from Montreal duo, Gianni Falcone & Mike Derderian. The two built a portfolio designing wedding gowns and have evolved into evening wear with a contemporary edge.
A one-shoulder dress full of intricate lace and beading that blooms into a bouquet of roses at the bottom. Afternoon garden party anyone?
This hot cocktail dress was one of the less formal pieces from Pavoni that night. We can picture wearing this over drinks with our girlfriends.

We spotted lots of long flowing trains that sashayed their way all over the runway
But nothing beats this finale piece, a wedding-esque gown with fairytale pouf, more roses and sparkle. The make up at Pavoni was very pale, muted with bright dramatic eyes from lots of hot pink shadow. The hair was kept very simple and clean - only updos.
I'm really cheering on this Canadian line and celebrities like Miranda Lambert, Shakira and Fergie are already fans. Now I just need to find a red carpet gala to attend or convince my husband into another wedding to rock a Pavoni.
The Nokia Lumia 800 has an easy to use touchscreen with an eight megapixel camera to shoot great photos on-the-go. I liked how the shutter button for the camera is on the right side of the phone. It was easy to click with one hand and use the other to hold the phone steady.
The camera has a flash that can also be set on auto or off. Everything integrates with all your msn accounts and the phone can also auto upload your photos into your skydrive. Thanks again to Nokia Canada for sending us!
