Mark's Fall / Winter 2012 Preview

The Mark's brand has consistently impressed me these past  few seasons and my recent sneak peek of the fall 2012 collection stayed true to that trend. I always appreciate brands that work to update their image through translating runway style into easy to wear looks at great prices. Best of all, their interpretations include include those trademarked features like no-iron, moisture wicking and even heat retaining fabrics plus comfort-based fits that make the iconic Canadian a fave for active, career women.
I loved their play on the "aristocratic look" for fall (above left) that featured a great textured sweater dress over a chambray collared shirt. It's a great look for the office, and it wasn't the only look that you could take to work. For example...

The Dolman Sleeve Drawstring Sweater Dress

Or, The Tweed Wrap Skirt & Ruffled Blouse
It's becoming less of a surprise, but Mark's accessories, especially footwear and handbags, are also great to shop when you're hunting for that look for less this fall. Satchel styles in earthy tones and a comfy take on the riding boot are must-haves in my books.
And of course, Mark's is known for really great (really WARM) outerwear and I love that they're consistently adding new flattering silhouettes each season like...

The Quilted Military Jacket
Mark's is definitely worth a visit this fall for great blouses, that very necessary sweater dress, outerwear for the cooler weather to come, and as I mentioned earlier, a peek in the accessories department. Visit stores late August or shop online to find these pieces and so much more.
