Baby Got Beach!

Swimsuit season is officially under way and whether you go maillot or monokini, the suit you choose this summer can be a fabulous opportunity to experiment with of the moment patterns, textures and colours you might not normally wear every day. Here are a few of my favourite swimwear trends and a option to suit any budget.

Low: Retro Ring Top, $18.99 & Matching Hipsters, $17.99 on sale via GapCanada.ca

Neon
High: Colourblock Scuba Swimsuit, $327 USD via MichaelKors.com
Low: Madi Push Up Bandeau Top, $28 USD & Cheeky Hipkini Bottom, $11.99 on sale via VictoriasSecret.com

Ruffles
High: Meduse one piece swim suit, approx $300 in boutiques*
Low: Very Sexy Ruffle Monokini, $81 USD on sale via VictoriasSecret.com

Florals
High: Poppy Print Bikini Top $56 & Matching Bottoms, $50 via JCrew.com
Low:  Floral print one-piece by Guillermina Baeza, $54.99 on sale via Mango.com
*Shan Swimwear can be purchased at high end boutiques in Toronto including their very chic concept store in Yorkville at 38 Avenue Road.  If you're purchasing a pricier piece, a trip  to a specialty boutique might be the best way to go. Staff are usually very knowledgeable and can recommend options that make sense based on your preferred water activities and your body type.
Here are 3 more to check out:
  • Melmira Bra & Swimsuits, 3319 Yonge Street (North of Lawrence)
  • CoralBliss Beachwear, 2989 Bloor Street West (at Royal York)
  • Seychelles, 1749 Queen Street E (East of Eastern)
