Spin + Barre + TRX @ UNION Studio - Toronto

If you were wondering what happened to Get Spun, a popular spinning studio on Spadina Avenue in Toronto – look no further than UNION Studio, a new project brought to life by owner Christie Ness. When her lease for Get Spun recently ran out, Ness joined forces with a couple partners (including Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace) and created a triple-threat workout studio that offers barre, spin and TRX classes
The new 2800 square-foot studio is spread across two levels with barre and TRX space on the ground level and a spinning studio with and outdoor stretch patio upstairs. Class sizes will be no larger than 15 members per class and barre classes will be choreographed by Heather Ogden, principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada (and a recent Hip + Urban Girl of the Week).

We love the fridge full of benourished freshly pressed juices and raw food snacks that are available for purchase after class. The change rooms feature shampoo and conditioner from the luxury all-natural line, Rahua (a Gwyneth Paltrow favourite).
“We’re going beyond bringing together the most innovative classes with the best instructors. We're also exposing members to some of latest products available in the market that suit healthy lifestyles, from freshly-pressed juices to the best natural hair care line,” adds Ness.
The studio will be offering over 115 classes per week with class prices ranging from $20 to $25. To learn more visit: UNION Studio - 571 Wellington Street West (at Bathurst), Toronto ON (416) 850-0843 www.unionstudio.ca

  1. Tried the barre class today. Routine was great but the studio space was a bit cramped.

Prefer the studio space at Barreworks, and the vibe there is a bit more laid back and the price is a bit cheaper.

The meal is often accompanied by Budu and sometimes served with deep-fried fish.
