TIFF Insider: The Bask-It-Style Lounge

I was whisked away in a black Uber Suburban SUV for the last stop on our TIFF 2012 Gifting Suites tour. The final destination was a $4 million penthouse suite at 33 Bay at The Residences at Pinnacle Centre. If there was a prize for most unique and original venue, Jumol Royes + Jessica Glover and their team at The Bask-It-Style Lounge won it hands-down. The view from the 4,690 square foot unit (above) include a south-facing water view and a west view of the CN Tower and Toronto skyline. If you get too stressed being so high-up, there's an outdoor hot tub on the second floor balcony to take care of you.
The team from Foxy Originals - one of our favourites and past Hip + Urban Girls of the Week were there showcasing their jewellery and gifting pieces to visiting celebs.
One of my picks from the fall 2012 collection
Seriously in love with all these rings which ranged from simple to outgoing
Kings of Past flaunted awesome pieces of original unused vintage eye wear from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. The sunglasses and frames are sold online and exclusively at Gafas Optical Shop in Toronto, Canada and can range up to $10,000 in price!

Some of the best olive oil I have tasted came from Louianna, a company founded in 2002 by brothers Dominic and Louie Spedaliere, which is named after their grandparents, Louie and Anna. The extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar are both organic with a robust flavour that is perfect for drizzling.
Wolf Blass brought along their special grey label of wine, which is a blend that changes every year - priced in and around the $35 range.
Tasty treats and hor's d'oeurves were served up to guests from PC's Black Label Collection. I had the chance to chat with a product manager who oversaw the line and she literally travelled the world to source some of the best product to bring back to us.
I walked away with a tube of umami paste and I've been putting it on everything!
Mèreadesso makes some pretty cool one-step skin care products that combines six products into one hand moisturizer. Sort of perfect when you're not a morning person and have time to put on just one thing (hello, me!). The beauty line is unisex aims to be as natural as possible. The Reading Room was a cool addition to the regular old gifting lounge. I had the chance to chat with best-selling authors Adrienne Kress and Tanis Rideout on their latest novels. DK Publishing hooked me up with one of their guidebooks and Harlequin gave me a peek at The Shit Girls Say book.  Local artist Donna Koster, gifted each guest a segment of her 50-piece abstract interlocking artwork (above). While F*ck Cancer filled me in on their charity initiatives.

In addition to this gifting lounge, Jumol and Jessica also plan to hand-deliver VIP bags direct to celebs at their hotels and parties, catering to their busy schedules. The final swag bag above. All in all a great TIFF 2012 Gifting Suites Tour - see you next year!
