TIFF Insider: The Essentials Lounge

The Hip + Urban Girl has been on a little tour of all the celeb 'gifting lounges' around town for TIFF 2012. We've made stops inside The Tastemakers Lounge, The TDot TV Lounge and on our latest stop we pay a visit to The Essentials Lounge, located inside the gorgeous Hotel Le Germain in Maple Leaf Square.
Now The Essentials Lounge is a little bit different. It's a one-day lounge for media to come in and stock-up on the 'essentials' to help us get through the long gruelling hours of reporting on all things TIFF. Each guest actually walks away with a very smart 'survival kit' + post-TIFF 'recovery kit' to get us through party-hopping, hangovers, writing deadlines and stress. Starving from a morning of TIFF appointments, my first stop was to the ceviche snack station from The Gourmet B1tches Food Truck (above).
As part of the recovery kit members of the media scored a complimentary three day juice cleanse from the Raw Juice Guru. I am beyond excited for this and have booked a raw food cleanse that I will be reviewing for the site next month.

WINKS Eyelash Boutique outfits everyone with a pair of lash extension for a little red carpet drama. Media were invited to book an appointment ahead of time for lashes or a complimentary spray tan - because you don't want to look all sick and pale working next to all the celebs sashaying their way down the red carpet.

Elizabeth Grant Skincare stocked me up on collagen neck, eye and face pads as well as a wicked awesome exfoliator called The Socializer. It's worked magic on smoothing out my skin so far all throughout TIFF.
Our friends at vitaminwater kept everyone hydrated and sent us home with a stash to keep cold in the office fridge. Swagger!
Benefit Cosmetics freshened up our make-up and sent us home with the latest collection of products to test out. Pass the concealer please.
I'm running on adrenaline here and bumped into beauty blogger, Farah Balolia
And THIS is the amazing swag bag we got sent home with! The Survival Kit.

This is the amazing hip + urban girl that put the whole thing together. Great job to Esther Garnick and the team at EGPR.
