Beautylicious Is Back!

Bloor-Yorkville's 4th annual Beautylicious event is back and will take place this year from October 25th - November 4th, 2012 in Toronto. Over 60 participating Beautylicious businesses will offer discounted skin care, hair care, spa and wellness packages specially priced at $30, $50, $75 and $125.

I had the chance to try out The Organic Argan Oil Salt Glow ($50 for 30 minutes) at The Windsor Arms Hotel and its the perfect treatment to book for a Friday after a long week at work. My amazing spa specialist, Ilona slathered on the an in-house body scrub made of salt, orange peel and organic argan oil. This takes care of getting rid of all those dead flaky skin cells.

After a quick rinse, Ilona applied a moisturizing skin-tightening body glow bronzing lotion (Prtty Preaushun) that left my skin literally glowing. I felt like I had just stepped out of a J. Lo music video, which means I was ready to hit the town on a Friday night. Definitely book this treatment on the day of an important event or before you go out to maximize that golden glow.

My treatment also included access to the indoor pool and sauna, which was a great place to relax pre-treatment. Bring your bathing suit! Spa robe, towels and flip-flops are all provided.

The second Beautylicious preview treatment for the day had me heading across the street for The Skin Perfecting Facial ($75 for 50 minutes) at Holts Salon & Spa. First of all, let me say that I did not know such a vast spa and salon existed inside Holt's. It's very pretty with classic gold and cream tones. My esthetician, Mitra was a pro. After steaming cleansing, toning and exfoiliating my face, she got right down to business and had a good look at my skin. Definitely a bit dry around the nose - I could probably be drinking more water, moisturizing more, doing a mask once a week and exfoiliating at home at least twice a week.

Now I like extractions during my facial. Mitra even took care of a pesky whitehead with a needle for me! I definitely trusted her and would recommend you ask for her when you book. After a facial massage, eye cream and moisturizer - I left completely relaxed and refreshed. I would pay $120+ for this facial and it was a deal for $75.
