We were thrilled to return to Toronto Fashion Week to preview Soia & Kyo’s Spring/Summer 2013 Collection! Designer and fashion visionary Ilan Elfassy was back in the city to showcase his innovative and fun styles. Leather, layers, and lively colours dominated the runway for next season, along with zippers, belts, and buckles. Readers, brace yourselves for impact.
I’d be tickled pink to wear any of these jackets (above). Each piece lit up the catwalk with bright and playful hues in linens and leathers. I adore the wrap-around jacket – it has a little je ne sais quoi that spices up any outfit.
Now that we’re entering the winter blahs, it was refreshing to see a parade of pastels on the catwalk. This sea green jacket paired with linens and a headscarf stood out on the runway. A perfect outfit for strutting your stuff along the boardwalk.
The fusion of olive green and dark brown leather was incredibly sexy and rebellious. Rev up your motorcycle and no one will stand in your way. Whoever said beige is boring? S&K has mastered a classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s look with these trendy trenches. Paired with a glam outfit underneath, you’ll radiate with Audrey Hepburn elegance.
Fuchsia is tearing up the runway. I’m in love with the suede number that works for the office or a night on the town. The navy suede coat electrified the runway. S&K reenergized men’s wear with indigo blue. A perfect gift for the men in your life!
