We stopped by the opening night party hosted by Toronto fashion blogger Gracie Caroll last week and chatted with the ladies behind the shop, Jennifer Celenza and Emma Tardella.

The name came to us after a lengthy brainstorming session. We knew that when we found the right name we would know it, and this name definitely stood out. We played around with the idea of our name being a different language so we looked at some Italian and French phrases. "Koopdekour" is actually a play on the French phrase "coup de coeur" which when translated into English means love at first sight. We decided it would be interesting to spell the name phonetically in English and so Koopdekour was born!
Why did you decide to bring the virtual shop into a pop-up?
After a few months online we decided we were ready to host a pop-up shop and have an informal launch party. When we discovered that Love of Mine on Queen Street was available to do pop-ups we were thrilled. Not only is the location perfect, the store itself and the accessories that they sell are a great compliment to our products.
What are the top trends for the fall and winter at the pop up?
When we buy for each season we always try to incorporate trends in a way that is both wearable and accessible. Based upon what you’ll see in the pop up, the trends we narrowed in on this season are peplum tops and dresses, studded details and separates with leather paneling.
