Initiated in 2002, Boobyball raises money and awareness for Rethink Breast Cancer, an innovative Canadian charity geared towards women under 40. They aim to educate and bring awareness to young women about breast health and to meet the unique needs of young women living with breast cancer. The guest list brings together Toronto’s young professionals, philanthropists, media and celebrities.
With new and creative themes every year, the 2012 bash was all about kicking it back in style to your good ol’ camping days. Welcome to Camp Booby, where urban glam meets the outdoors.

Held at the Sound Academy on Polson Pier, the venue was transformed into a hip camping ground adorned with canoes, glowing campfires and furry mascots like “Booby the Beaver”.
Anything goes at Camp Booby!
Guests were decked out in their best suits, cocktail dresses and camp fashion with lots of jean shorts, plaid shirts and scouting uniforms. Think high heels and bubbly, s’mores, bonfires and camp counsellors. In attendance were media personalities such as Boobyball’s honourary co-chair Aliya-Jasmine Sovani, Host of MTV Canada and Wilder Weir, Host of Cosmo TV, as well as Ian Lynch, star of 1 Girl 5 Gays, Stephen Amell and Michael Cram.
Camp Booby provided no shortage of entertainment and goodies for its attendees. With DJ MISTAJIGGZ and Brendan Fallis spinning all night long, Bobbyballers hit up the dance floor with drink in hand and refuelled with munchies from Neal Brothers Foods, bevies from Stella Artois and Yellow Tail, and noshed on South St. Burgers.
Guests were encouraged to collect their Camp Booby Badges by partaking in fun activities at different stations such as: mini-putt, makeup touch-ups by Smashbox cosmetics, hair braiding for that laid back camp style, sampling cups of Tassimo coffee and my personal fave – build your own s’mores.
Your reward for earning badges - a goody bag jam-packed with awesome swag like gift cards from Guess by Marciano and Uber, Stella Artois glasses, a Mavea water filtration pitcher and KY products.
Boobyball raises funds through event ticket sales, sponsorships and an online auction. Anyone is welcome to attend. Tickets usually go on sale six weeks before the event, so be sure to check back next year! If you are interested in getting involved, Boobyball and Rethink are always on the lookout for volunteers.
