Canadian supermodel, Jessica Stam, was the hands-down showstopper. The stunner, who has appeared on some of the biggest runway shows around the world (think Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and Gucci) was incredibly captivating in person and garnered many cheers from the crowd. If you needed a reason to love the Ontario native more, upon her arrival back home in Canada she tweeted, “@Jess_Stam: Country music and Tim Hortons... Feels good to be back in Ontario!”, earning one of the top tweets of the day.
After the runway show, EXPRESS threw a rocking after party in the studio where previous runway shows had taken place all week. Upon entering the studio, guests immediately flocked to the pop-up shop set-up inside. EXPRESS gave away free button-up shirts to the gents and a pair of pants to the ladies. Past the pop-up shop was an open bar and appetizers made their way around the room for guests eagerly awaiting Dragonette. I took this as an opportunity to pose for a quick photo with two of the male models from the show.
Dragonette finally made an appearance about an hour into the after-party and they were well worth the wait. Kicking off their set with the popular song “I Get Around”, a crowd full of stylishly tired Toronto Fashion Week goers came to life with cheers and a few fist pumps (myself included). Dragonette put on a fun show and capped off an action-packed and incredibly successful Toronto Fashion Week and EXPRESS show.
Thanks for following our Toronto Fashion Week coverage all week long. We had a blast!
