Ladies, this is what 5-star service is all about. My bags were transported to my room by the friendly staff, while I checked in on the 18th floor. I was upgraded (!) to the Towers Suites, a section of the hotel with ultra-luxurious rooms and unlimited access to a private concierge, a butler service, business centre, and a special lounge with complimentary food and drinks.
My room looked like a chic bachelor apartment with modern furniture and spectacular views. I was greeted by fruit, flowers, chocolates, and a bottle of red. If I could have packed my bed in my suitcase, I would have. The fluffy pillows, duvet, and soft mattress were the perfect remedy for this weary traveller.
I didn’t waste any time getting settled – I put on my complimentary bathrobe, poured a glass of wine, and watched the sunset from my private balcony.
Every hour is cocktail hour in the Towers lounge! There’s an amazing spread of food and drinks from 6:30am to 11pm. The “hors d’oeuvres” are more like a meal – a daily feast of fresh fish, couscous, salad, cheeses, and a fine selection of wines. Towers guests never go hungry or thirsty, and are always taken care of by the attentive butlers. I really appreciated that the hotel kept the breakfast buffet going till 11am, which let me sleep in. After all, it is a vacation, right?
The hotel has a fantastic strip of white sand and turquoise sea right at the door. I loved bathing in the warm waters and the sandbar that stretched out into the Mediterranean. A big plus – the Sheraton’s beach is clean and less crowded. Ten minutes away, the water was thick with seaweed and beach was packed on the weekend. If you crave peace and privacy, stick with the Sheraton. Tip: rent an umbrella and chair from LaLa Land for only $15/day to get some shade.
The Pool & Spa
Need a break from sun and sand? Lounge by the luxurious swimming pool with a killer sea view. The Cielo Spa looked heavenly with its 14 treatment rooms, dry sauna, fish spa, and a luxurious Turkish bath.
The Sheraton Tel Aviv gets an A+ for amazing. I loved every minute of my stay and I felt so relaxed and comfortable. The Sheraton is perfect for a honeymoon or a beach vacation with an urban twist. It’s right in the heart of the city – close to restaurants, nightlife, boutique shops and Old Jaffa City. Standard rooms start at $230 and up, and this is value. It’s rare to find a five-star, beachfront hotel for less than $200/night in Tel Aviv. If you’re headed to the Middle East, make sure you check out this epic hotel.
