Feminine Drama & Tomboy Style by H&M

H&M is keeping us on our toes this Fall with a 2013 Autumn Collection that brings drama, pushes tomboy style and mixes in touches of glamour here and there. At the preview event recently, Hip & Urban Girl was able to take a look at what’s to come for Fall, and we have to say that this isn’t your usual H&M. This collection mixes the seriousness of French chic with a bit of Spanish flare, that you'd think would come with a price-tag. Luckily for us, the collection is offered at the H&M price point that we're used to, which means more opportunity to play with multiple pieces from the collection.
Here are some of the stand-out pieces:

This ain’t Cruella Deville. No, this is a white faux-fur coat with simple hints of black lines that create a dramatic silhouette without changing the basic pea-coat shape.
The white piping on this bohemian blazer brings to mind Spanish matadors from the old world.

Boy-cut blazers go beyond your basic tomboy style with gold button features and velvet materials.  Soft chiffon pieces in seemingly basic colours are enhanced by silver embellishments that add a touch of understated elegance.
Red makes an appearance throughout the largely dark coloured collection and blends well with many of the utilitarian shades of jersey pants.
Accessories include many undersized pieces, such as mini-rings, which are juxtaposed against attention grabbing vintage style bags and over-sized statement necklaces.
