3 Ideas To Get Your Halloween Fash-ON!

I've matured past the days of dressing as the sexy version of [insert random profession or animal here] and was never one for the gory and ghoulish. Still, I love to nurture my inner child with a bit of make-believe on Halloween. With this I give you 3 fashion forward costumes that you can pull together from the trends hiding in the back of your closets or a quick stroll to the shops. Yes, I give you permission to Halloween Treat Yourself!

Inspiration #1
80s babies unite and don't try to tell me you didn't want to be Jem (or Jerrica) as a kiddo. Pull out all your peplum and lace, preferably in hot pink and accessorize with every star shaped accessory you find. Add clip in extensions or a full wig for fabulous. Microphone optional. If you're anti-pink and prefer to play the villain, channel the Misfits. Halloween Treat Yo' Self To: Steve Madden Crystal Star Cuff Watch

Inspiration #2
I was all set to be the "Monopoly Man" for Halloween until my (also thirty-something) friends agreed to congregate over prosecco and flannel animal print onesies instead. True (sad) story. Had I ventured out it would've been the perfect excuse to don all my menswear inspired pieces and wear one of those mini top hat fascinators I've always wanted an excuse to purchase. Your version might be a plain black suit but it's perfectly okay to purchase the tuxedo pants you've been eyeing. It adds "depth" to the costume, right? Inspiration #3
I didn't come up with this one on my own and was actually quite surprised to see a few photos of friends dressed up as this easy to lose (er, find?) character. The difference is they didn't do it with Tom Ford glasses, blue leather pants and adorable lace-up ankle booties like I would. Halloween Treat Yo' Self To: Tom Ford Round Frame Reading Glasses.

Happy Halloween!
