There are few things better in life than spending quality time with the people you love, especially when it means doing something a little special. We all have hectic lifestyles and busy schedules, which makes the evenings spent with our significant others even more precious and cherished!
While it can be relaxing to have a night in together at home, it often proves too difficult to detach from our day to day lives in such comfortable surroundings. That, amongst many others, is one of the best parts of going for a romantic meal together - total focus on your partner without any of the distractions of home!
Sharing a gourmet experience can bring people closer together on so many different levels; whether it's a romantic candlelit dinner or a fun night out on the town, we're all for living life to the fullest with the ones we care about. So in partnership with eHarmony Canada, we're giving away a date night package to one lucky hip + urban girl and her date!
Here's how to enter (ALL 3 steps must be completed to qualify):
1) Comment below and tell us about your perfect date.
2) Remember to include your Twitter or email so we can contact you if you win.
3) Follow eHarmony on Twitter AND Like on Facebook.
Chose 1 of 3 Great Prizes:
Thanks to eHarmony Canada, one of the most intelligent dating sites out there, we’re offering the winner a $200 voucher for your choice of Ballroom Bowl, SPiN Toronto or CARA Restaurants. Enjoying a romantic evening with your significant other has never been easier - or more fun and delicious!
The lucky winner will also receive a free 3 month eHarmony membership, which you can pass on to a friend or family member if you're happily taken. eHarmony Canada matches singles all over the country, along with many currently on the Toronto dating scene - click here for more information.
This contest has been extended and now closes on November 14 at 11pm EST. Competition open to Canadian residents, over the age of 18 only. Allow 30 days for prize delivery. If winner does not respond within 15 days of the closing date of the competition another winner will be selected. Good Luck!
My perfect date would consist of going to the theater and then for drinks afterwards! lukashimada@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have followed eHarmony on Twitter & Liked on Facebook! @lukashimada
ReplyDelete@Sarah_devries13 followed and liked :) My ideal date would be to be able to spend some TIME with my boyfriend. Anything over 4 hours. We've both been so busy we don't get to see each other. So, order in food, grab a few beers, get in bed and marathon our favourite show. Follow up the day of laziness with a walk in the park. Hopefully buzzed!
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date would be going to dinner and a show.
ReplyDeleteA great evening would include quiet relaxed dinner followed by a walk through the downtown core. People watching, while walking and talking. And discovering the neighbourhoods of the city.

ReplyDeleteTo me, the perfect date is cooking up some cool new recipes together, then enjoying the fruits of your labour with an outdoor picnic and a couple of cool drinks. Pure relaxation and perfect for romance!

My perfect date involves doing anything just the two of us. We don't get a lot of alone time, so even if we just hop in the truck, grab some Timmies and drive for an hour - as long as we're together it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date would be to try something new: a new activity like a cooking lesson, or a wine tour, or rock climbing.

Hmmm....my perfect date would be where everything is split 50/50 and there's no complaints about food or service. The conversation is an easy back and forth with no long uncomfortable pauses. You feel like you belong with the other person just like a pair of comfy jeans.

I think the perfect winter date would be to go skating and then relax with coffee on a couch infront of a fireplace. @SACanadian
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date doesn't have fancy restaurants, flowers, or jewels. It's just simply being with someone who I can see true understanding, acceptance, honesty & warmth in their eyes. I am a mid-30's divorced mom of 2 kids; one who has special needs.. & statistics sadly show that I will probably be alone forever. A man who is willing to share in my life's responsibilities will be a rare gem. All I can ask is for an evening of converstation with someone who genuinely fits these unique, hard-to-find qualities. Liked on FB, Twitter @MillerKrazy
ReplyDeletePerfect date would start in the afternoon with a winery tour, couple's massage and then followed by a romantic dinner. (@magscheung, liked and followed eHarmony)

My perfect date includes wine tasting in Niagara On The Lake, a fantastic dinner and great conversation! Communication is so important when getting to know someone, but also knowing you have similar interests and are compatible. Great contest! :) (@sassygirlcanada on Twitter)
ReplyDeleteI love the opportunity to spend time doing something together - and something active can be more fun than, say watching a movie. Attending a cooking class together, making the meal and sharing it at the end can be fun, or attending a beer, wine or scotch tasting can be a great way to experience something new together. The best part is you don't have to struggle for conversation, as you are learning, and later to can talk about the best parts of the evening!

My perfect date..
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date includes a gentleman, because let me tell you, I think they are a dying breed. I am currently in the dating scene and am meeting a lot of guys who say "girls are just out for a free dinner" etc Funny part is, I don't ask for dinner, I would be happy with a coffee date or a nice walk and talk . I think chivalry though and gentlemen in particular are dying out. Sigh. My perfect date would be A nice walk , followed by dinner and some great conversation with someone who thinks letting a lady walk in the restaurant first is important, he holds the door for her to enter and lets her walk in first. Is that so unreasonable?
Oops. Forgot to say that I like them on facebook and my twitter is : @missplewes and I follow them there too
ReplyDeleteMy best date ever would start with breakfast in bed (after sleeping for a glorious 10+hours). It would include fresh fruit, homemade waffles, and maple syrup! After leaving my cozy bed, we would head to Bloor Street to indulge in some luxury shopping! Following an afternoon of great purchases, we would get dressed up and have dinner in a chic Yorkville restaurant. Next, we would change into more comfortable attire and go ice skating under the stars! Finally, we would head back to my place and watch the rest of that evening’s hockey game on TV.

ReplyDeleteMy perfect date would be a quiet dinner at my favourite restaurant followed by drinks and video games at Get Well. After that we would take a walk to Trinity Bellwoods park and sit and talk for hours.
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date is one that is not overly planned....going with the flow, acting silly and seeing where the night goes are always the most perfect dates!
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date would be spending time getting to know someone, whether than be in an intimate restaurant or at a local sports' game, it's more important to me to find someone to click with and enjoy an evening out.

My perfect date would be one that both of us can enjoy maybe based on our common interests whatever that might be. I tend to remember the dates that stand out that are not necessarily expensive but unique. Maybe going skating then getting hot chocolate after. That was fun back when I was a teen so I could totally see that being fun again. Just need to find myself a date ! I was thinking of joining eHarmony this would make that much easier.

Perfect date night away from the kids : Sneak away for a romantic meal, not talk about the kids, savour a gourmet meal paired with fine wines followed by a dram of scotch as a night cap. Then sashay away to a night away at a hotel and SLEEP IN! :) @YashYanthi
ReplyDeleteMy perfect date is one where there is a lot of talking and laughing. You know a date is going well when there is a lot of laughing.

My perfect date would involve an activity that we both enjoy and a great cozy meal before or after. I am more into active dates so either bowling or going to a hockey game is preferable, but a movie is fine too and dinner somewhere easy like Montana's etc after the activity of the evening would be a great way to end the date.
