My New "Wear With Everything" Blundstone Boots

With age comes wisdom and in my 30s I'm now understanding the wistful look I used to get from ladies of a certain age when I came sashaying down the road in my 4.5" stunners. After a while girls, your tootsies will revolt. High heels will equal torture and you're going to want to own a shoe that doesn't require a full sit down rest break every 30 paces but also looks amazing with your current wardrobe. Enter my new footwear fave, Blundstone Boots

A little on the industrial looking vibe at first glance, I will admit these were not on my radar at all until I visited their home at The Australian Boot Company on Queen West. Inside, I was introduced to the brand and their new fall styles which include a black boot with a pop of cherry red and a rustic brown boot with a contrasting sole and brown brogues in both a pull on and lace-up version.

The entire Blundstones collection is designed to be highly durable, light weight and unisex. Though there are ladies, men and children's sizing, the styles themselves (mostly pull-on, all leather) are the same for both men and women.  I was a little skeptical that I would integrate them really easily in my own wardrobe but they really do go with everything and GAWD they are so comfortable.

It took me some trying on and a slightly rigged eeny meeny miney moe game to choose the steel grey pair that came home with me but I definitely made the right choice.  So far I've paired them with skinnies (cuffed at the hem) and skirts both long and short. In fact, just last week I hosted a shopping event and wore my Blundstones during set up but had a pair of sparkly pumps to change into for later. As it came close to go time, I couldn't bear the thought of standing in heels all night so I played rebel kept them on with my flouncy skirt and metallic knit sweater for tons of compliments so don't be afraid to experiment by pairing them with tailored or dressy looks. They add that certain dash of masculine to your style which happens to be a huge trend for fall as well.

Don't take my word for it though, go slip on some Blundstone Boots for yourself at The Australian Boot Company located at 698 Queen West and 2644 Yonge Street or visit for a retailer near you. Prices range from $150 - $250 but my most loved Steel Grey pair appear to be on sale for just $99.95 right here and right now.
