5, 6, 7 I delivered my happy + healthy bundle of joy! Yup, you read correctly, I was in labour that lasted almost 40 hours and ended with an unplanned c-section. I'll save my birth story for another post but for now I'm recovering well and back up on my feet enjoying my new role as a mommy!
It took us a long time to come up with a name but we finally decided on Caden which means "spirit of the fighter". The perfect name given my labour marathon and his battle to enter the world.
A few weeks ago we ran a Baby Bump Contest with Nokia and asked our readers to guess the little one's gender + due date. We received over a hundred entries and three people guessed correctly - @cantoncathy, @maxteitelbaum and @emanuelaisai. We put the names in a randomizer and the winner of the Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone is Cathy C!
Big thanks to Lisa Sanguedolce, owner of Le Dolci who made us this gender reveal cake that was almost too cute to eat (the inside is a delicious blue velvet)! Le Dolci is Toronto’s fun, foodie studio! Got a craving for Parisian macarons, gourmet cupcakes or cake pops? They make it all here -- from scratch for that "home-baked" taste. They also host pastry classes where you can learn the art of piping, fondant or even how to make eclairs & profiteroles. Check out our review of Le Dolci and you can drool over their scrumptious treats on Instagram and Pinterest.
