Make This! Four Easy Smoothie Recipes to Try

Coconut Orange Smoothie with Vanilla - I love this fresh and tropical smoothis recipe from Whole Living. Try adding two chopped up dates to naturally sweeten this smoothie and you can use hemp or almond milk for some added protein. If your banana isn't frozen - don't sweat it. Your smoothie will still be delicious.

Kale Apple Green Smoothie - Mondays are the worst day for me. I'm usually coming off a weekend hangover of too much junk food and wine. It's also the day I'm thinking, "Ooooohhh a green smoothie will fix all this!" So lo and behold, here is an easy kale apple green smoothie recipe from Real Simple that doesn't require a fancy juicer or me shelling out $7 over at Fresh. Just grab your blender and start stocking your freezer with some frozen organic chopped kale bits (buy or make). I like adding a couple pieces of ginger as well.

Lisa's Strawberry Banana Smoothie - I like to mix mine with 4-5 frozen or fresh strawberries (hulled), 1/2 cup of orange juice, a banana, ice cubes and 1/4 cup of plain or vanilla Greek yogurt. Blend away in your blender and you're done! Like your smoothie sweeter? Add a teaspoon of honey or some chopped dates. For a superfood topper, sprinkle some crunchy cacao nibs on top or mix into your smoothie for texture.

Wendy's Peanut Butter & Jelly Smoothie - Wendy makes this smoothie in the morning for a quick breakfast-on-the-go. It's perfect if you're a peanut butter addict like me. The best part? You probably have all of the ingredients ready in your fridge & cupboard.

Morning Tip - If you loathe mornings as much as I do. Make your smoothie the night before (without ice) and leave it in your blender. Just give it a whirl in the morning add ice to chill.
