3 Ways To Style Swimwear Off The Beach

With our super short summer I've never been one to recommend a splurge on swimwear, until I had the opportunity to slip into a luxe suit from the debut collection of Toronto-based label, Filosofia Swimwear. Not only do they design for real women with curves, they also invite us to celebrate them in bright prints, flattering silhouettes and premium fabrics, natch. Here's the thing -- gorgeous swimwear doesn't have to wait for you next pool party to come out and play.

Try these 3 style tips to take your swimwear off the beach:

1. Under a low cut jumpsuit or maxi dress: If you've always been a little too timid to flaunt your girls in a plunging all in one, a brightly coloured bandeau, bustier or  triangle cup bikini top is the perfect way to add some coverage while staying sexy.

2. With high waisted bottoms: High waisted bikinis are all the rage and their cute tops look equally fetch with high waisted skirts, shorts or pants. Halters or bustiers with straps will mimic the crop top trend for a look that's cute and very current.

3. Under a sheer or crochet top or skirt or dress : This is an obvious one but often we reach for a cami or tube top or shape wear (i.e. spanx)  to layer with sheers but your favourite swimsuit also works wonders here. A sleek suit with little or no embellishment works best.

I'll be using these styling tips this Sunday as I rock my Filosofia Swimwear at the Divalicious 6 Ladies Boat Cruise (where you can also see their collection on the "runway" and shop in person) but I'm curious! Where would YOU turn your swim style to street style?
