The inaugural four-day festival featured specialty menus prepared by A-list culinary masterminds including David Chang (Momofuko), Cory Vitiello (The Harbord Room and THR & Co.), Geoffrey Hopgood (Hopgood's Foodliner), Anthony Rose (Rose and Sons, Big Crow and Fat Pasha) and Lachlan Culjak (Yours Truly). There were also plenty of local artisan exhibitors, wine tastings, food demonstrations, interactive cooking classes and live entertainment.
Amex loves bringing unique dining experiences to Cardmembers:
- Life is too short to be waiting in lineups! That's why Amex offers Front Of The Line advanced ticket sales. And at the event, we got priority line entrance after flashing our shiny Amex card.
- Need to take a breather? We hung out with our Little Foodie in the exclusive Amex Lounge and enjoyed complimentary snacks.
- We also got first dibs with reserved seating at the Taste Theatre, Tasting Room and Metro Masterclass events.
- And we'll be royals! With these premium services, my family definitely felt like more than just customers. Thanks again Amex!
Ode to our taste buds!
We ate our hearts out... favourite dishes included Fat Pasha's Falafel Pita and a pair of Tamarind Ceviche Tacos from El Caballito. Guu Izakaya's Takoyari aka deep fried octopus balls were the most adventurous food we tried. The Picnic Fruit Salad from Big Crow and Momofuku's famous Ramen were the perfect savoury summer treats and we finished our meal off with The Harbord Room's Pistachio and Olive Oil Cake with Strawberry Ice Cream. Oh my yum!!
Our taste buds left very happy and we can't wait to see what next year's festival brings!
