A sponsored hip + urban girl post.
My love affair with coffee began when I was 15. Growing up in Mississauga, I attended a special little arts high school that was a two-hour bus ride each way from home. Mornings meant getting up at 5:45 AM and being at my bus stop at 6:15 AM and I credit coffee with helping me make it through five years of commuting all through high school.
It wasn’t until my mid to late 20s did I truly appreciate premium roast coffee. McDonald’s McCafé Coffee is made with 100% Arabica beans with a very rich and smooth flavour. It’s just dark enough without being too overpowering and the beans are roasted to a perfect medium dark colour giving the coffee lots of complexity when brewed. Once you taste good coffee, you never want to go back to the watery, light stuff.
Canadians are quite passionate about our coffee as well and we like to make it ourselves! I’m actually drinking coffee as I write this – so there you go. So it is no surprise that 65% of all coffee is consumed at home.
Coffee drinkers consume on average 3.2 cups of coffee per day with coffee and tap water being the most commonly consumed beverages. Meanwhile, 14% of Canadians drink coffee at lunch, compared to 49% that drink coffee at breakfast. Surprisingly, 7% of Canadians enjoy a cup of coffee with their dinner. It seems like Canada just can’t get enough coffee.
So how do you get great tasting coffee at home? You need good quality coffee beans. Our friends at McDonald’s have launched McCafé Take Home Coffee for brewing at home. You can find McCafé Take Home Coffee in, ground, Tassimo T-Discs and K-Cups. Look for McCafé Coffee in major grocery stores.
