The Taste of Iceland

The 4th annual Taste of Iceland makes its grand return to Toronto from Thursday November 13th to Sunday November 16th. Get a taste of Icelandic cuisine at Luma restaurant, above the TIFF lightbox for a multi-course menu.

Luma will welcome acclaimed Icelandic chef Viktor Örn Andrésson (Lava Restaurant at the Blue Lagoon). Recently named 2014’s Nordic Chef of the Year, Andrésson has collaborated with Anthony Walsh, corporate executive chef of Oliver & Bonacini and Michael Wilson, Luma’s own chef de cuisine.

The chefs have collaborated on a four-course prix-fixe menu for $55 which include:

Icelandic Arctic Char: blow-torched and lemon-cured Arctic char, paired with Icelandic barley, horseradish and cucumber

Icelandic Cod + Langoustine: slowly cooked cod and dried seaweed söl from Stykkishólmur with lightly smoked langoustine salad, apple, black salsify and pickled onion

Icelandic Free-Range Lamb: roasted rack of lamb, sunchokes, wild mushrooms with carrots and Madeira glaze

Icelandic Viking Skyr: skyr (a low-fat Icelandic milk product similar to cheese) and wild blueberries, chocolate crémeux, marzipan cake, hazelnuts, skyr and lemon ice cream

An Evening in Iceland

Want to experience an Evening in Iceland without leaving the city? On November 16th, join acclaimed chefs Viktor Örn Andrésson, Anthony Walsh and Michael Wilson for a cocktail reception, a four-course dinner with wine pairings, and entertainment by Lindy Vopnfjörð.
