The Natrel Rink at Harbourfront Centre

Trying to stay active in this pre-Polar Vortex?

The Natrel Rink at Harbourfront Centre is now open! So grab a group of friends, a thermos of hot chocolate and your skates and get skating. Best of all? Admission is free.

Bundle up because it does get cold right by the lake. I love making a day out of it and going for Dim Sum first at Pearl Harbourfront inside Queen's Quay Terminal. Afterwards, I like to head outside and burn off all those delicious calories with a leisurely skate in the sun. Skate rentals, sharpening and hot chocolate are also availble on-site with washrooms inside Queen's Quay Terminal.

If you're looking for cheap skates, head to Canadian Tire to pick up a pair for under $40. That's what I ended up doing so I wouldn't have to deal with skate rentals all the time and now I have skates for life! Go early in the season, because it's tricky to find sizes closer to Christmas.

Happy skating!
