Summer 2015 @ Cabana Pool Bar

By Wendy Kam Marcy

The Toronto Waterfront is always changing for the better. Between catching up on my magazine reading at Sugar Beach, taking my son to the pirate ship park at Cherry Beach or grabbing dim sum at T&T Supermarket, I love summery afternoons spent at Cabana Pool Bar. There is nothing really like this in the city if you are looking for a Miami meets Vegas hangout.

Last weekend was the launch to kickoff summer 2015. As a fan of EDM, Ink Entertainment always impresses me with their DJ lineup. Tiesto delivered an outstanding performance this past Saturday and they've got Hedkandi headlining this Sunday, June 21 - be there!

So what can you expect at Cabana?

There is a $20 admission charge on Fridays thru Sundays and no cover on Tuesdays to Thursdays. If you wish to take a dip in the pool, that's an additional $20. Towels are available for purchase at $35 or $5 for rentals.

Cabana is nestled by the Polson Pier so it does take some effort to get there. Busing is the easiest and most economical way. There is parking for $20 or hop on the Cabana Water Taxi which picks up and drops off at Queens Quay and Spadina. If you are rolling in on a yacht, the docking fee is $200.

Take advantage of summer office hours or take the day off and indulge in their $9 Happy Hour menu from 1-4pm on Fridays. They serve everything from crispy vegetarian spring rolls, bbq pulled pork sliders, nachos, pizzas and fresh salads. And because the food is catered by Oliver & Bonacini, you can expect only the best. Bottle service also available with reservations.
