Fall Beauty Favourites

By: Lisa Ng

September is finally here! The weather is cooling off and I have a whole new round-up of Fall Beauty Favourites to share with you this month. Here are the best things to come across my desk as of late:

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules – Elizabeth Arden also sent over a daily youth restoring serum that look like the little bath bead oils I used to buy at The Body Shop back in the 90s.

To use the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsules, you simply break off the top of serum bead and squeeze it into the palm of your hand. It felt oily at first, but it absorbed quickly into my skin with no greasy finish. That being said, you could wear the serum during the day under your makeup and you would be fine. My skin instantly felt smoother and softer. There was so much product in each bead that I could use the excess on my neck and decollete. Since the product is pricey ($90 for 60 capsules) I would use this 1-2 times a week.
ARTDECO is a fantastic line out of Germany and is now available in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart or your order online. They have a fantastic selection of high-quality lipsticks, shadows, bronzers, blushes and more. My favourite thing about ARTDECO is that you can customize your own beauty palette and choose your own colors!

Beneft Roller Lash Mascara – There are moments when I think to myself, isn’t all mascara the same? Well, I have a bunch of different mascaras in my drawer and the one I keep reaching for over and over again is Beneft’s Roller Lash Mascara. The brush is sort of a spiky plastic which works great on separating each of your lashes with no clumps. The formula is also lightweight and doesn’t smudge or weigh my lashes down. It’s my favourite mascara right now and I would buy it again.
Need a stay-put shadow? Clarins has an awesome Ombre Iridescente Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow that are great for those neverending long days at work.
I like to apply a bit to my crease and have been using Aquatic Rose 01 from the Aquatic Treasures Collection during the day for a subtle pop to brighten up my eyes with a slight shimmer. I’ve been reaching for Aquatic Grey 03 to add a dramatic pop at night. The formula almost feels like a light powdery gel that stays put and doesn’t melt off your face.

Have you tried any great products lately? What are your Fall Beauty Favourites?
