By: Lisa Ng

Getting excited for the holidays?

Here's my round-up of the best events coming up around Christmas and happening in Toronto. Mark your calendars for the BEST holidays ever!

The Nutcracker - This holiday classic by The National Ballet of Canada returns on December 12th, 2015 at The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Check out the time Wendy and I made a cameo appearance as Canon Dolls in The Nutcracker!

The Toronto Zoo - Hate the crowds on Boxing Day? Enjoy 50% off admission all day on December 26th. Check out the extensive Keeper Talk Program that offers a fun holiday theme and delightful seasonal treats for the Zoo's animals.

CN Tower - Heading into the city for a shopping day? Treat your out-of-town guests to a prix-fixe lunch at the top of the CN Tower from $55. The 360 Restaurant revolves and offers incredible views of the city and you get to bypass the lines + the usual $20 admission fee to the top.

Yonge & Dundas Square - Will be hosting their first annual Toronto Christmas Festival! The 10 day party will include live music, shopping, sleigh rides with Santa Claus, laser light shows and more!

Go Skating - There are so many fantastic places to go skating in Toronto! In fact, we've rounded-up a list of our favourite places to go skating in the city.

The Cavalcade of LightsThe event features the illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, live music, a fireworks presentation and a DJ skating party at Nathan Phillips Square. This free event is a 49-year-old holiday tradition in Toronto and will return on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

The Santa Claus Parade - This Toronto tradition has been running since 1905! Fantastic animated floats leave the corner of Christie and Bloor Street West in the company of two dozen marching bands and a couple of thousand costumed participants, cheered along by excited kids. The parade will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2015.

What are you looking forward to this Christmas in Toronto?
