Four Seasons Scottsdale Resort

By: Lisa Ng

Looking for a winter getaway? One of my favourite retreats is to the Four Seasons Scottsdale Resort in Troon NorthThe Resort is an adobe-style hotel with villas spread throughout. Either you are on a lower villa or upper villa with a gorgeous vista presented before you as soon as you step outside. Ours included a fireplace, reading area, walk-in closet and huge master bath that I imagined myself just moving here and not finishing the drive to LA.

The Location – The resort itself is a little bit off the beaten path in the secluded community of Troon. I loved being a bit removed from the city and felt like we were nestled away in paradise. The drive to downtown Scottsdale took us about 25 minutes, which meant we didn’t venture in everyday. I felt like it was very peaceful out there and you weren’t bumping into a strip mall or big box store once you left the resort.

Poolside – You will never want to leave period. All the cabanas are open to guests, except for the ones equipped with TVs – which are available on a day rate. Shade is a must  in the Arizona sun and misters attached to the archway of each cabana helped keep us a cool. Complimentary lounge chairs, towels, water, sunscreen, frozen treats, freezies and snacks are all part of the Four Seasons touch.
Sweet Deals – If you’re visiting Scottsdale in the off-season, like we did in July – the weather is simply scorching. However the deals are super sweet and there’s nothing like living at a resort, laying by the pool with a few drinks. The Four Seasons Scottsdale can get down to $149/night plus $25 daily resort fee. So if your idea of luxury is smart luxury then definitely consider this option.
