Looking for a fun weekend getaway? I just updated this post with a few new fall getaway ideas that you can think about booking now - enjoy!
Check out some of our past posts of places to go this Fall to watch the leaves turn during a hike through the trees. Save your bathing suit and detox at a spa, while breathing in the crisp air. So round up your honey or your girlfriends! It's time for a Fall road trip out of the city:
Prince Edward County, Picton ON - Book yourself into a local B&B and head to a local winery, cider house or cheese factory in Foodie heaven. Dinner at Merrill Inn is a must! Get lots of fun ideas from my Travel Guide to Prince Edward County.
Ste. Anne's Spa, Grafton ON - Relax at this country estate, while soaking in the water therapies, steam rooms and sauna. A full spa weekend away from the city. All about our visit here + here.
The JW Marriott, Muskoka ON - I love hiking along the Shore Line Trail or heading out on a canoe ride on Lake Rosseau. Curl up with a glass of wine, in front of the fire after a massage in their full service spa. The drive up to Muskoka with the leaves turning is half the adventure. The gourmet Italian fare at Teca is not to be missed! Here's what I did during our stay.
The Westin Trillium House, Collingwood ON - The cute little village of Blue Mountain offers a fun selection of restaurants, shops and cafes. I am a big fan of The Oliver & Bonacini Cafe inside The Westin. Stroll along the pond, visit the local scenic caves or go for a hike.
Le Scandinave Spa, Collingwood ON - A deluxe water therapy playground with outdoor pools, steam room, sauna, massage therapy and relaxation zones all nestled in the trees. Bank on spending at least 2-3 hours here.
Langdon Hall, Cambridge ON - The walking trails and the vegetable garden tour is my perfect idea of a Fall getaway. Check out their website for more info + read about my visit here.
The Whiteface Lodge, Lake Placid NY - Ready for a splurge for a big celebration or occasion? This luxurious lodge is only a 6.5 hour drive away from Toronto and is worth the trip. Relax in the indoor/outdoor year-round heated pool or go for a skate on their three season ice rink. The cute little resort town has lots to explore including a charming movie theatre, shops and a bobsled track! Everything Lake Placid is here.
So where are you going to getaway to this Fall?
